How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today I am bringing you a review of the newest blend from one of my all-time favorite roasters. That is right, this week I am brewing One Village’s Full Circle.
The Roaster
Based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, One Village Coffee is a roaster dedicated to making a positive impact on coffee farmers, roasters, and drinkers alike. They achieve this by ensuring fair value for the farms they source from and by donating 1% of their sales to coffee-related environmental charities. Full Circle is aptly named, as the coffee draws inspiration from this mission, the circle represents the connection between the grower, roaster, brewer, and eventual drinker of coffee.
Full Circle is also unique as a blend. It isn’t a single, fixed combination of coffees, but rather a rotating selection of beans sourced from Africa. At the time of this writing, Full Circle features coffees from Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Burundi. This is a fascinating concept, and I plan to keep an eye on it to see how the blend evolves over time. For today, we’ll find out how this first iteration stacks up against the other fantastic offerings from One Village.
When rating coffee I follow the same method of brewing each time. Find out about how I prepare French Press coffee here.

Grinding Full Circle released a burst of bright, juicy berry aromas, giving it a fragrance that unmistakably reflects its African origins.

| Middle | A bright and fruity pop brings forward sweet berry notes | Fruity berry notes, blueberry like with a good sweetness and a touch of tartness |
| Finish | Semi-sweet chocolate notes | Chocolatey and slightly roasty |
Overall Thoughts
Overall, this was a smooth and delicious coffee, which comes as no surprise given that it’s from One Village. My Chemex produced a slightly smoother cup that, from a flavor perspective, nearly rivaled Villager, though I still give Villager a slight edge, especially since it is organic. The French Press also yielded a smooth brew, with a touch of acidity that added a pleasant layer of complexity.
I preferred this coffee with the pour-over, where the fruity notes from its African origins really shone. The subtle, tea-like start made it refreshing, while the chocolatey finish offered a comforting ending. I did enjoy the hint of spice the French Press brought out, but overall, the pour-over produced the more enjoyable cup.
This coffee has a moderate complexity regardless of brew method, and for a more traditional coffee drinker it may be a bit much, though the chocolatey finish is sure to please. Full Circle, while delicious, may be a blend more suited for the coffee enthusiasts in your life.
Where to Purchase
You can find Full Circle on the One Village website, along with their other offerings. Prices on their website range from $14-$18.50 for 12oz, whereas you can find it for $12 per 12 oz at Wegmans and other grocery stores. A local chain, Landis usually has it on sale 2 bags for $20. I have not seen Full Circle in either of these stores though. It is also worth nothing that ordering directly from One Village will give you the freshest beans.
