How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today I am sharing with you a coffee I have reviewed before, but with a twist! This week I am back with my second mushroom coffee review, and I am brewing B Cups Coffee’s Pink Ribbon Blend with Mushrooms.
The Roaster
B-Cups Coffee was founded in 2023 in honor of the co-founder’s aunt, who tragically passed away after a long fight with breast cancer. You can read their full story here. This experience led to the founding of B-Cups and their decision to donate 5% of all sales to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I’ve had the chance to talk with their team quite a few times, and their passion for coffee and their mission is truly inspiring. They really are great people making coffee for a great cause.
This coffee is a variation of their Pink Ribbon Blend (read my review here), with Lion’s Mane and Chaga mushrooms blended in for an added kick of antioxidants and help boost focus. A quick disclaimer, this coffee was purchased pre-ground, and as with most mushroom coffees, the ground beans are mixed with ground mushroom.
When rating coffee I follow the same method of brewing each time. Find out about how I prepare French Press coffee here. I did deviate slightly this time due to the coffee being pre-ground, with the only change to my process being that I followed the recommended coffee-to-water ratio listed on the bag.

Overall Thoughts
Overall I found this to be a really smooth and great-tasting coffee. It was pretty similar to the regular Pink Ribbon Blend, but the mushrooms did lead to some changes with the flavor profile. I found this to be a far more enjoyable cup than Four Sigmatic Focus, my first dive into mushroom coffee. It is a good coffee that’s very easy to drink. The flavor profile is sweet and nutty, which I think would make it appeal to most coffee drinkers. This would be a great introduction to mushroom coffee if you’re looking to try one.
I preferred this in the French Press, as the pour-over had a moderately strong bitterness in the middle. While that bitterness was driven by the nuttiness, I still found the French Press smoother and more enjoyable. The flavor profiles were relatively similar, but the chocolatey notes in the French Press made me enjoy that cup even more.
