How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today, I am bringing you my review of the second of three signature blends offered by Birchin Lane Coffee Company. If you missed my review of Tall, Dark and Handsome, the first of the three, check it out here. For this week I am brewing Beach Beans, a medium and dark roast blend they use to make one of the most incredible cold brews I have ever tasted!
The Roaster
Birchin Lane opened in 2021, in North Myrtle Beach becoming popular essentially over night and growing rapidly, allowing them to open a second location in 2024. With in-house roasted coffee by an extremely talented team, the drinks they offer are phenomenal. Check out my Birchin Lane Coffee Shop review to learn more about the shop itself. If you read my Tall, Dark and Handsome review you may recall how much I enjoyed that coffee, so let’s find out if Beach Beans can live up to this hype!
When rating coffee I follow the same method of brewing each time. Find out about how I brew the French Press coffee I rate here.

Overall Thoughts
Overall this was a delicious and smooth cup of coffee, regardless of brew method. The flavor profile is relatively simple, but packs bold flavors and a great taste. This is a coffee that any drinker would enjoy.
I preferred Beach Beans brewed with a pour over, even though each method made a delicious and easy to drink coffee, but the subtle touch of spice that the pour over brought out gave it an advantage. Either way you will be happy to have Beach Beans!
Where to Purchase
You can purchase Beach Beans directly from the Birchin Lane website. While you are there check out the rest of their coffee lineup, including Birchin Lane Blend, which I will certainly be hoping to get my hands on in the near future! If you are ever in Myrtle Beach you absolutely must check out either of their locations and be sure to get a cold brew!
