How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today I have another value coffee review to share with you. When I talk about value coffees I try to stick to coffees that are around $10 per bag and organic, with fair trade certified being an added bonus. In my French Press today I have Simply Nature’s Organic Single Origin Peru coffee.
Similar to the Simply Nature Honduras (read my review here), this is another strictly high-grown coffee, which leads to higher quality beans with more flavor. At a price point of $5.79 for 12 ounces ($7.72 per pound), Simply Nature Organic Peru Single Origin coffee is another value offering. After being pleasantly surprised by the Simply Nature Honduras coffee I was looking forward to picking up a bag of the Peruvian beans next chance I got. Let’s see it compares!

Simply Nature Organic Peru Single Origin Coffee review:
This coffee has a roasty fragrance with a touch of sweetness, but there is not a distinguishing note that stands out. Once it is brewed, this changes with the coffee having a slightly sweet, vanilla aroma. There was some good weight to it with a medium-full body. The cup starts with subtle chocolatey notes, these are mild and more cocoa-like than sweet. The flavor shifts to a sweeter middle with a slight pop of fruity notes. There is a touch of tangy citrus present. The coffee finishes with roasty dark-chocolatey notes with a subtle hint of the citrus from the middle.
Overall this was another good value coffee. It was smooth and easy to drink. Similar to the Honduras blend this coffee had a good flavor profile but was not as flavorful as some of the higher price point coffees. That being said, at $5.79 for 12 ounces ($7.72 per pound) this coffee is a great value for people looking for an organic daily drinker. This coffee would also likely appeal to most coffee drinkers as it it smooth and simple.
You can find Simply Nature Organic Single Origin Peru coffee at your local Aldi, however availability may very depending on the store. If you are in store and see this and the Honduras coffee they are definitely worth picking up!
