How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today we are going to be talking about another blend of beans from the seemingly always awesome One Village coffee. In my French Press today I have One Village’s Artist blend.

During my trip to the local grocery store to get my bag of Villager (read my review of it here) I let my daughter pick out the second bag of One Village I would review. We had a close call, as she appeared to be reaching for decaf, before picking up her true target, One Village Artist. All joking aside (as I will have some decaf reviews on here one day) she made a great selection!

When rating coffee I follow the same method of brewing each time. Find out about how I brew the coffee I rate here.

One Village Artist review:

Artist is a full bodied and rich coffee. There is no acidity or bitterness, making it a very smooth cup of coffee. I found this to drink much like a dark roast, while still packing the robust flavor of a medium roast.

The coffee begins with a terrific roasty front that features malty notes with a touch of sweetness. The sweetness continues into a rich chocolatey middle. Artist finishes with a nuttiness, almost like roasted hazelnuts.

Overall, Artist is another outstanding offering from One Village. Despite the boldness, Artist is a smooth and easy to drink coffee without bitterness or acidity. This came as no surprise to me, as I’ve had quite a few coffees from One Village and they’re always smooth. The flavor profile of Artist is simple, yet well executed. Though it did not unseat Villager as my current favorite offer, a tough task for any coffee, Artist is a coffee I will certainly be going back to more often. Artist is a coffee that will appeal to any coffee drinker, and with its smoothness even more casual coffee drinkers will enjoy it as it is an easy to drink coffee.

You can pick up a bag of Artist from the One Village website, though grocery stores tend to have slightly better prices on their coffee. After reading my Villager review I know you will be looking to buy some, so do yourself a favor and grab a bag of One Village Artist while you are at it!
