Purity Coffee Ease Review:
Characteristics and Flavor Profile
Grinding Ease brings forth a dark chocolatey fragrance with the subtlest hint of clove-like sweet spice.
| Ease | French Press | Pour-Over |
| Aroma | Rich dark chocolate balanced with sweet spice | Rich dark chocolate, subtle hint of spice |
| Body | Medium-full, good weight and mouth feel | Medium, noticeable weight especially for a filtered coffee |
| Start | Rich baker’s chocolate, cocoa forward | Roasty and coffee forward |
| Middle | Dark sugar-like sweetness, molasses notes with a touch of dark chocolate | Rich cacao notes, baker’s chocolate-like |
| Finish | Clove-like notes with sweet spice giving the cacao-like bitterness a great balance | Deep dark chocolate-like notes, very subtle sweetness and a touch of clove |
Overall Thoughts
Overall, this was a really enjoyable cup of coffee. It’s fairly complex for a dark roast, with distinct tasting notes that evolve throughout the cup, yet work well together to create a smooth, delicious coffee.
- French Press: Smooth and easy to drink. Bold flavors with a great complexity, especially for a dark roast.
- Pour-over: Smooth, but slightly less balanced than the French Press with less complexity.
- Preferred brew method: French Press
While the spice notes may be a bit too complex for the average coffee drinker, the dark chocolate and subtle sweetness offer enough familiar dark roast characteristics to give it broad appeal. My wife and I enjoy this in every brew method including espresso shots and it is our favorite cold brew.
Where to Purchase
You can purchase Ease, along with the rest of Purity’s offerings, on their website. While you’re there, use the code COASTERSNCOFFEE to get 20% off your first order! At a price point of $29 for 12 oz (about $38.66 per pound) or $139 for 5 lbs (about $27.80 per pound), Purity Ease comes at a premium price, but it’s well worth it for the peace of mind that comes with drinking a clean, healthy coffee.
Conclusion – Purity Coffee Ease Review
This is the go to dark roast in my house, as my wife and I love it. It’s a clean coffee with a great flavor profile and also crafted for digestive health, so it’s the perfect coffee for anyone with a sensitive stomach.
