Thrive Organic Breakfast Blend Review

How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! Today we are going to be talking about one of the better valued organic coffees on the market, as it usually comes in around $17 for 24 oz. In my French Press today I have Thrive’s Organic Breakfast Blend coffee.

Thrive is an online grocery store that specializes in healthy and organic food; they also have a great offering of allergy friendly foods. The prices are typically lower than similar products in store, but this is not always the case. We enjoy a lot of their Thrive branded products though, and they are a good price. That being said, there is one major downside to this coffee, it is only available to Thrive market members. Is the coffee alone worth the membership cost? That is a lot of pressure to put on a bag of coffee, but hey, if the coffee is good that could be a start.

Thrive Organic Breakfast Blend Review:

This coffee has a medium-light body, but it still packs a good flavor punch. The first thing I noticed is the nice warm vanilla notes in the nose. The tasting notes start deep and roasty with a touch of maltiness. The slight sweetness of the malty notes brings forward dark chocolatey notes in the middle. These notes gradually fade with a hint of sweet caramel. Finally, bold but mildly sweet vanilla notes come through in the finish.

Overall, this is a nice cup of coffee with great flavor notes and a subtle but delicious sweetness. It is an easy everyday drinker with very little bitterness. The price point of around $17 for 24 oz also makes it an organic coffee you can enjoy that is also easy on your wallet.

Thrive offers a few other blends of coffee, I will likely review them as well, but if you have a Thrive account you can view them here. Unfortunately, without a Thrive membership you will not be able to try their Breakfast Blend or other offerings. It is a shame because I really enjoy the Breakfast Blend, it is the coffee I usually have on hand when I am out of coffee to sample because it is hard to beat for the price. It is a far better coffee than the other budget organic coffee I reviewed, Wegmans Organic Bold Dark Roast (read my review here).
