How’s it going? Hope the coffee is flowing! This week we are going to be going back to our regularly scheduled coffee reviews. Today I have another review from the great team over at B-Cups Coffee. In my French Press this week I have the coffee that started it all for B-Cups, their Pink Ribbon Blend.
I have done quite a few reviews now of B-Cups Coffee and have a couple more blends left to review, but so far I have really enjoyed each blend and the quality of the coffee. B-Cups Coffee Pink Ribbon Blend review:
Pink Ribbon Blend has a sweet-honey like nose and a medium body. The front has slight hazelnut notes that gradually get stronger giving it a nutty start. An almost dark chocolatey flavor takes focus in the middle, it is slightly bitter but balanced by a decent amount of sweetness. This sweetness fades and the bitterness shifts to a mildly tart-cherry finish. The tart-cherry brings out some mild tannins which give the finish a memorable mouth feel.
Overall I really enjoyed the flavor profile, as it had a little bit of something for everyone. It started out nutty, had a chocolatey middle, and then finished with a touch of tart fruitiness. It was relatively smooth throughout with just a touch of tannins in the finish to make it interesting. This coffee was easy to drink which I think would give it mass appeal, it would also be a good way to start to expand into more complex coffees as it had a decently complex flavor profile and experience without being overwhelming.
